Job Overview

Wings Technical Services is seeking experienced Blasters for an offshore oil and gas project in Qatar. Candidates must have hands-on experience in abrasive blasting, surface preparation, rust removal, and preparing steel surfaces for protective coating applications. Applicants should be familiar with blasting equipment, abrasive materials, surface cleanliness standards, and offshore safety procedures. Previous offshore project experience is mandatory. Requirements: - Minimum 3–5 years of relevant abrasive blasting experience. - Offshore project experience is mandatory. - Experience in grit blasting, rust removal, and industrial surface preparation. - Knowledge of blasting machines, compressors, hoses, and abrasive materials. - Familiarity with surface cleanliness grades and surface profile requirements. - Knowledge of offshore HSE standards, PPE, and safe blasting procedures. - Relevant technical qualifications or blasting certifications are an advantage. - Valid Qatar ID (QID) is mandatory. - Candidates must be locally available in Qatar. - Must be physically fit and available for offshore deployment. - Immediate joining preferred. Responsibilities

• Perform abrasive blasting on steel structures, pipelines, tanks, and other industrial surfaces.
• Remove rust, old paint, mill scale, and other contaminants to achieve the required surface cleanliness.
• Operate blasting machines, air compressors, hoses, and related equipment safely.
• Select suitable abrasive materials and blasting techniques according to project specifications.
• Check surface cleanliness and profile to meet coating requirements.
• Inspect blasting equipment before use and report any defects or unsafe conditions.
• Follow approved blasting procedures, method statements, and quality standards.
• Comply with offshore safety regulations, permit-to-work procedures, and HSE requirements.
• Use appropriate PPE and respiratory protection during blasting activities.
• Maintain blasting equipment and ensure proper housekeeping at the worksite.
